Photoshop, Basic Selections

The very first task we did on photoshop was a basic selections task.

The first thing we did was create a square with the rectangular marquee tool and coloured in the marquee with a colour of our choice, we then inverted the marquee and filled in the outside of the square with the same colour on a separate layer. We then added shapes of a different colour that connected onto the central square and put the square shape layer in front so that it covers up the circles to create a new shape.

On the right hand side you can see the layers that I have used to create this shape, two layers are currently visible. The lower down on the list the layers are the further back they appear on the image.
